Brief Filed Supporting Attempt to Require Proof of Citizenship for Voter Registration

July 27, 2016 @

On July 8, 2016, our firm filed an amicus brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in support of State of Kansas’s attempts to prevent illegal aliens from voting. Our brief was the only brief filed supporting efforts by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach to ensure honest elections in his state.

Our voting system is a sacred right and responsibility. Shouldn’t proof of citizenship be, at least, the minimum requirement to access such an important privilege?

It is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. If you want the privilege, you need to be a citizen!

By the thinking of the appeals court, we can no longer demand ID to purchase beer or cigarettes. Oh, I’m sorry, I don’t have an ID, but I want beer.

I commend Mr. Kobach for doing what he can to allow for honest elections in his state this November. In my opinion. I believe this current presidential administration will do “whatever is necessary” to elect Hillary including fraud and deceit by pushing “illegals” to vote, etc. Nothing is “off the table”!!!

Thank you for addressing this issue. It is ridiculous that identification is needed for everything except the most important issue as voting.

Hope it will not be too late before something is done in view of the upcoming important election.

Thank you for doing what you can to help prevent fraud in our elections. I hope other States will follow suit. I believe there is NOTHING hillary wouldn’t do to become President and we can’t let that CRIMINAL get into the White House.

Happy to learn this. All states who ate in the same category as Kansas should do the same.
My goodness you are obliged to show ID for any medical appt, library, liquor store, to drive a car, school admission, welfare assistance etc. etc. I could go on and on.
It’s WAY past time for insisting on an ID for
    voting.
It’s only common sense and idiotic for the Democrats to disagree.

Important issue! In California a check box serves as affidavit and proof of citizenship for voting purposes. This has been used to garner illegal votes.

I’ve ALWAYS BEEN ASKED FOR MY ID TO VOTE. The only reason that the dems don’t want voter ID is so a bunch of illegals vote for her only because she is promising them the moon. Enough is enough with this that helps a crook like Hillary get in office. Stop them from voting. This is a privilege for American citizens and not a bunch of wet backs. I bet we can’t go vote in Mexico’s elections so why should they vote in ours.

The DNC demanded photo ID to get a pass to their convention, but they oppose photo ID to vote. We all know why, they are the most two faced political party on earth and that is saying a lot about the DIMS>!

Hillary Clinton, Obama, and the Democratic party have reduced lying to an art form. If any of them makes a mistake, they turn it upside down and find a way to blame it on the Republicans first, or anyone or anything else but never take the blame. Logical refutation of the most inane point is ignored; thus they can take the most absurd position on any issue – voter ID, for example – turn it around to make perpetrators the victims, then feed the lie to their Propaganda Ministry – the so-called “Main Stream Media” – to propagate the insanity to their (at best) low-information and group-thinking followers who willingly digest the garbage, and the lie told often enough becomes fact.
But we have to remember that a tenet of the Democrats is – from Saul Alinsky – the end justifies the means. And the “means” can range from lies to injurious criminal acts. So it is this soulless, godless monster that we must unite to defeat in November. If we don’t, then God help our country and future generations.

A lot of illegals belong to the unions in California. The unions tell them who to vote for and being here illegally they listen. Proof of US citizenship should be mandatory in every state for all elections and government services

Everyone should have to show proof of citizenship before being allowed the privilege to vote in these United States Of America Elections. No Proof=No Vote, period!
