Sheriff Joe and President Obama

November 14, 2012 @

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona wants to have a “man-to-man” sit down with President Obama over beers and cigars and really discuss the illegal immigration issue. The Obama administration claims Sheriff Joe is violating the “civil rights” of Hispanics, while he says he is simply enforcing the existing law. Despite a lawsuit pending against him, Sheriff Joe just won re-election at the age of 80 years old.

No stranger to controversy, Sheriff Joe has always done things his way. His tent cities and pink garments for inmates caught the public’s attention in the mid-1990s, soon after taking office in 1993. He has been accused of violating prisoner’s “rights” and treating them inhumanely. The accusations never stick, even though his critics have spent considerable courtroom time trying to do so. It seems that at every turn, Sheriff Joe is always one step ahead with the law on his side. It is almost like he knows what is lawful and what is not.

Sheriff Joe makes too much sense for the Prez to want to even be in the same room with him. It’s a crying shame, because nobody’s rights are being violated, and the kind of treatment of prisoners is humane, rational, and results in far less recidivism than any other prison in the United States. One thing is certain, once a person commits a crime, they actually have no rights except for a fair and speedy trial, food and clothing, and something constructive for them to do. They do not have the right to TV’s, video games, coffee, cigarettes, or anything else. Those are reserved for those who earn them and pay for them, not handed out free. These prisoners should have thought about what would happen when they commit a crime, instead of whining whent they have to do the time. Go, Sheriff! You rock! Too bad our celibrity in chief doesn’t understand illegal immigration except for the votes it gets him. And that, my friends, is AGAINST THE LAW! Too bad nobody has the courage to tell the Bummer to his face. Oh, that’s right…that would be discrimination because of the color of his skin.

Regarding the statement of MadAsAHatter! ‘ I COULDN’T AGREE MORE. Well said. Obama will never talk to Sheriff Joe because he neither knows or cares about the law. I’s all about power.
